New England Patriots fans have been devastated by the announcement that Brady’s four game suspension has been upheld by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. However, in the long run the Deflategate fiasco may be a blessing in disguise. Here’s why:
1) The “united front”: Instead of backing down and letting Brady get eaten up by Goodell and his pack of wolves, Pats Nation has stood up alongside Brady to fight the injustice. Show me the evidence!
2) Another reason to fight: Deflategate has given us a whole new reason to fight with rival teams. As if being the best team in the nation wasn’t enough, we are now hated by pretty much every team in the league. FUN! Brady haters are by law Patriot haters, and therefore fan haters as well. Bring it on!
3) No blood no foul: Our team is about the put up the best fight they ever have. What’s scarier than a bunch of angry, HUGE football players? Nothing. Good luck to everyone playing against the Pats this season because their chances of getting flattened have grown exponentially. Gronk SPIKE.
4) 2nd half strong: Brady is going to be less banged up later in the season. Obviously not having your starting quarterback for the first quarter of the season sucks, but it does protect Brady and give him more time to stay fresh.
5) Angry Tommy: We’ve all seen an angry Brady before, but this may very well take him to a new level. His tight spirals will likely reach dangerous speeds this year, but Pats receivers are certainly tough enough to take it. Plan on seeing the score go up very quickly upon Brady’s return. Fire me up!
6) Kraft: Lets be honest, we all love watching Kraft talk. Anytime he speaks it is gold, and seeing him support Brady just gets Pats Nation even more riled up. An angry Kraft is the best Kraft.
7) The truth: Brady didn’t do it. Either this is the greatest bluff of all time, or Brady didn’t do it. There’s really no point in continuing the fight if Brady is guilty, but here we are.
8) Consistency: Everyday is a good day to be a Pats fan. Let the rings do the talking.
